1968 Volume is old light?
Then, what about that 2000+ year old bound volume of 66 books?
as part of family worship last night, i pulled out the bound volumes i have been harvesting from different sources lately and showed my spouse the following quote:.
awake!1969 may 22 p.15 .
"if you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things.

this might not work for everyone, but it might for some.. if a person faces disfellowshipping, the person should make the elders prove that they are baptized!.
as far as i know, baptism records are not sent to bethel.. without two witnesses to the event (and the witnesses have to remember seeing the person immersed), and no photos, there would be no proof.. if someone did this, the elders would of course contact bethel for instructions, but what could they do?.
it would put a stop to the elders proceeding with any action..
Tell them you were mentally diseased when you got Baptized and over the years it became progressively worst.
Pffff, perfect!
They already knew from the pubs that you are mentally diseased as an apostate, now you just confirmed it...

That would be a 100% match for a "brazen" request.
Case closed.....
our friend, oompa, has passed away.
just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.
it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.
I can hardly find the right words to say.....
Very sorry for the loss...(and may they burn in Hell!)
RIP, Oompa...
......
recently i talked to someone i care about who is in the jw group and stated i feel that believing billions of people are going to die when armegedon comes and only a jws will survive would be unloving of a god.
the response is one that i've also noticed others have experienced.
in short the answer is something like the following: "we don't believe that, only jehovah can read hearts.
Elephant:
...they teach it because they CAN...spiritual things are just that, spiritual...here we are, you and I, of the same religion...and can interpret
these teachings differently...why? because its not arithmetic, where the answer is only ONE..
Paleeease!
Walk up to your elders and declare that if you have the stones.
We all know how it ends....

Blondie, please stop with this apostate material...
i've finally turned my attentions away from anthony morris iii (just for the time being!
) and done a video about another governing body member... gerrit losch.. in this video, taken from a 2008 talk (given in sydney, australia), gerrit gives us his grim predictions for the future.... .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4bl_hzhjzm.
the next logical step is for all JWs to invest in full body lead aprons.
....sold for only $1,499.99 a piece (buy 2, get 50% off the third one) at the literature counter.....
i really do not understand how any can be athiests from thinking real hard about it.
how can you think everything on this earth just happened?.
from my understanding, to be athiest, this is pretty much how it goes.
Night Owl, you want proof? Here it is:
(sorta not exactly as it may have been written 3,000 yrears ago, but a close second )
great video.
this is how we are viewed by outsiders.
there's no fooling some people!.
The guy's other "5 stupid things.." videos are just as well presented.
Big time thumbs up
well, now that the new jw.org website is up and running, the videos keep coming thick and fast.. this latest highly-polished production shows an asian family, evidently living in america (or some other developed country), explaining how the watchtower in simplified english benefits them.. here is the link.... http://www.jw.org/en/news/by-region/world/video-clip-helping-children/.
the first thing that struck me was the boys playing football together at the beginning.
it seems playing soccer in pairs (as with the ministry!
Portrayal of the idillyc life of a typical western middle class family....And who and how provides materially for all that? Oh, I get it. The dad who comes home @0:43 with what appears to be a computer bag....
At the same time mom stays home, cooks and takes care of 3 kids.....
This guy must be making more than the wages of a "simplified" employment position...dare I say he may even had to have an advanced degree to be able to pull it off...
But who cares about reality under the spell of the happy (ahem) jingles of the background soundtrack....
